New Dungeon Wash ashore on Hullbreaker Isle, Eorzea's newest dungeon, and discover what spoils and dangers lie in waiting.
- Hullbreaker Isle Upon the Rhotano Sea, along the fringes of the island chain known as the Cieldalaes, there stretches an expanse of water perpetually covered in heavy mist. Hidden within this impenetrable shroud is Hullbreaker Isle, so named for having smashed innumerable hapless vessels into flotsam over the centuries. In the wake of the Calamity, however, it came to be that the mist would lift under certain conditions. On one such day, a merchantman sailed into the area to behold not only the isle itself, but also the wreck of the Haar, the flagship of the dread pirate Mistbeard. The discovery has rekindled interest in Mistbeard's legendary hoard, and treasure hunters the realm over are now scrambling to find passage to the elusive isle.

I think I remember reading (at work at the moment so I cant look for a source) that you need to have beaten both Mog & Levi Ex in order to do Ramuh Ex. In that case, we should arrange a time to complete both for those who need it so we can all dropkick this fool in the coming weeks. I know most of us have Levi down, but im assuming most dont have Mog beaten.
I personally have not bothered to down King Mog EX simply because there is nothing i need from him, how ever i don't mind setting up a team to down him right quick, in case there comes a time we may need the kill in order to progress on future endgame content.
Delivery Moogle Quest and Hunt Previews (06/25/2014)
Today's patch 2.3 preview introduces two new ways to get acquainted with both friends and foes in the realm of Eorzea─delivery moogle quests and the Hunt! Delivery Moogle Quests With their button noses and fuzzy poms, moogles can typically be counted upon to see letters and parcels safely to their destinations. When a delivery goes awry, however, you are tasked with setting things right, and so your adventure begins with but a simple letter.

The Hunt To abate the threat of notorious beasts roaming free in the wilds, the Eorzean Alliance has established the Hunt. With a bounty now on the heads of myriad menacing monsters, adventurers who seek danger and glory can take up arms, find their marks, and reap the rewards of tracking and defeating the realm's most dangerous game.
- What is the Hunt? The Hunt is an initiative established by the Eorzean Alliance, offering a bounty to adventurers who aid in quelling the threat posed by notably dangerous monsters that prowl the lands of Eorzea.
- Mark Bills Players will find a Hunt board at each Grand Company headquarters, upon which mark bills have been posted listing bounties for various enemies. There are two types of mark bills: regular mark bills, which are posted once per day, and elite mark bills, which are posted once per week. These bills list the name and number of targets to be hunted, their location, and the reward being offered for their defeat. * The targets listed on regular marked bills will differ from player to player. The target listed for elite marks will be the same for all players.
- Regular and Elite Marks While regular marks denote enemies commonly found in the wilds of Eorzea, elite marks denote powerful enemies that only appear under certain conditions. They are ranked according to the risk they pose: rank B (lowest risk), rank A, and rank S (highest risk). Upon defeating elite marks, players will receive rewards including Allied Seals, Allagan tomestones of mythology, and Allagan tomestones of soldiery.
New marks will be posted on the Hunt board at the following times: Regular mark bills: Daily at 8:00 a.m. (PDT) Elite mark bills: Weekly on Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. (PDT)
- Accessing the Hunt Board To retrieve mark bills from the Hunt board, players must first complete one of the following quests:
Quest Required Level and Rank Let the Hunt Begin (Malestrom) Disciple of War or Magic level 50 Second Storm Lieutenant Let the Hunt Begin (Twin Adder) Disciple of War or Magic level 50 Second Serpent Lieutenant Let the Hunt Begin (Immortal Flames) Disciple of War or Magic level 50 Second Flame Lieutenant
- Rewards Both regular and elite bills list a bounty for their indicated marks. This bounty will be paid in full once the marks have been slain. Allied Seals received from the Hunt can be exchanged for exclusive wares by speaking with the Hunt Billmaster at your Grand Company. Rewards include weapons, armor, minions, sands of time, oil of time, and alexandrite. * Allied Seals can only be exchanged at your affiliated Grand Company.
Today's patch preview takes a peek at desynthesis, a new ability allowing players to break down items into raw materials. Desynthesis Overview Desynthesis is a new crafting ability that reduces items into to their constituent parts.
Desynthesis can be used on a number of different items including equipment, housing furnishings, and fish.
Using Desynthesis Each crafting class has its own desynthesis skill level, which affects your chances of successfully breaking down an item, as well as the materials yielded if you succeed. * Crafting classes below level 30 will have a skill level of 0, and therefore cannot use Desynthesis.
Desynthesis skills for each class are independent, with a maximum level of 100. However, there is a skill point maximum of 300 that applies to all classes combined.
Successfully breaking down an item with Desynthesis will raise your skill level for that class. However, this may also lower the skill level of other classes in certain instances. * Attempting to exceed the combined 300 point maximum will lower the skill level of other classes. * Classes level 30 or higher will have a skill level of at least one, which counts toward the combined 300 point maximum.
Retrieving Items Breaking down an item with Desynthesis will primarily yield materials used to create the item. On occasion, players will also receive special items that can only be obtained through use of Desynthesis.
These special items can then be used in new recipes available in the coming update.
